Drop Dead hopes to provide the level of service and expertise of a classic barber shop, with added luxuries. The shop operates on an appointment-only basis, dedicating an hour of service to each client. Drop Dead features availability “after hours”, on nights and weekends when other shops are closed.

 

Shop owner and operator Jordan Lane works to provide an exclusive, memorable, and relaxing experience for each of his clients. Complimentary refreshments are standard. Come in and enjoy a comfortable space, lounge, and receive top-quality haircutting and grooming services. Women’s short cuts and split-end trims are available as well!

 

Drop Dead Barber Shop was founded in 2017 by New York State Licensed Master Barber Jordan Scott Lane, who received his education in 2016 from Austin’s School of Spa Technology, Albany New York. The original Catskill location is a home occupation. The dedicated basement space was converted into a speakeasy-style single chair barbershop with a full lounge, entertainment area, and free pool table on site. All amenities are available for clients to enjoy.

 

In 2023, the shop expanded to Warren Street in Hudson, New York. The two chair barbershop was nestled in a nook, hidden from the bustle of the downtown street, offering luxury service while maintaining it's speakeasy style. After providing excellent service to the on Warren for three years, Jordan ventured into a new partnership with the former Casa Urbana Salon, and expanded the business and offerings even further! Under the new name of Drop Dead Barber and Beauty, Drop Dead offers salon services, cosmetology, and women's full service cuts and color with the barbershop coexisting as a speakeasy in the back room. Jordan has hours available in both locations at this time.

Both barbershop locations feature grooming products and fashion retail. This includes high-quality, natural, local and USA made groom ing products that work as great as they smell. Fashion retail includes jackets, sweaters, tee-shirts, hats, which have been designed by Jordan. Additionally, vintage men's shoes and accessories are available as selected, curated, and restored by Jordan himself. Retail is available for access anytime during business hours.
